Among the world’s most celebrated plays, Julius Caesar is also one of the most action packed. With trickery at every turn, count on holding your breath as allegiances shift with every scene. Democracy has never been this demonic, nor the Bard so prophetic in his most psychologically powerful (and modern) play. All hail Caesar—and this raffish production of a play whose ploys and plots will hold you in thrall from the very first line.

"Calin’s costumes are just one aspect of this Julius Caesar’s extraordinarily striking look, aided and abetted by scenic designer Frederica Nascimento’s deliberately era-unspecific moving scaffolds, Robert Oriol’s original music composition, musical direction, and sound design, which give J.C. the pulsating soundtrack of a classic Hollywood historical epic, and Ken Booth’s stunningly blood-saturated lighting design." - StageSceneLA, March 2015
"Original music by Robert Oriol underscores the action and provides powerful scene transitions reminiscent of a 1940’s psychological thriller. Its effects pierce the ambiguity of character intent in true crime drama fashion." - Shakespeareinla.com, March 2015
